Which containers do you sell?+

10, 20, 40 and 45 ft units: standard dry, high cube, refrigerated, insulated, open side, open top and flat rack, plus the site offices and storage boxes we fit out ourselves.

How fast do you deliver?+

Two to five working days after the deposit clears, anywhere in the EU. Germany, Austria and Benelux: usually 48 hours.

How does payment work?+

By bank transfer: 30% deposit to reserve the unit, the balance on delivery. Leasing and instalments available on request from 24 months.

What do I need to prepare on site?+

Sourcing, fitting out, transport and certification: that is where a delivery is won or lost. We do all of it in-house, with one person owning your order from the first email to the handover.

Why we started

Buying used steel should not be a gamble.

Our founders spent years in freight forwarding watching customers receive units that looked nothing like the photos they were sent. Rust in the roof. A floor that gave way under a pallet truck. Missing paperwork.

So the rule here is simple: you buy the unit you were shown, with its serial number, its photos and its report. If it does not suit you, we say so before you pay — even when it costs us the sale.

Choosing your equipment

Which containers do you sell?+

10, 20, 40 and 45 ft units: standard dry, high cube, refrigerated, insulated, open side, open top and flat rack, plus the site offices and storage boxes we fit out ourselves.

What is the difference between one-trip and used?+

A one-trip unit has made a single journey from Asia — practically new, clean paint, no notable dents. A cargo-worthy used unit has 8 to 12 years of service: sound, watertight and certified, with working marks and patched panels.

Which size fits my site?+

Allow the length of the unit plus roughly 12 m of clear approach for the truck. A 20 ft needs about 18 m in a straight line to be set down, a 40 ft about 30 m. Send a photo of the access and we confirm before you order.

Can you fit out a container for me?+

Yes — doors, windows, insulation, wiring, partitions, shelving and paint in your colour, done in our workshop in 2 to 4 weeks. You approve a drawing before anything is cut.

Do I need planning permission?+

Rules vary from one municipality to the next. In most German states a container used as temporary storage on private commercial land needs no permit; permanent use as an office or dwelling does. Check with your local planning office — we are happy to supply drawings and weights for the file.

Delivery

How fast do you deliver?+

Two to five working days after the deposit clears, anywhere in the EU. Germany, Austria and Benelux: usually 48 hours.

Where do you deliver?+

Twelve countries as standard: Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czechia, Denmark, Italy and Sweden. Elsewhere on request, including overseas by sea.

What do I need to prepare on site?+

Firm, level ground and clear access for a 16 m truck. Send us a photo of the approach and we will tell you which vehicle fits.

Who unloads the equipment?+

We do. A sidelifter or crane truck sets the unit down where you want it, at no extra cost when access allows. If a mobile crane is needed it is priced in the offer, never afterwards.

Can I collect it myself?+

Yes, and it is free. Come to Hamburg or Duisburg with a suitable trailer and lifting gear, by appointment: we load while you wait.

Payment & paperwork

How does payment work?+

By bank transfer: 30% deposit to reserve the unit, the balance on delivery. Leasing and instalments available on request from 24 months.

Are prices net or inclusive of VAT?+

All displayed prices are net, ex depot, excluding VAT and transport. German VAT of 19% applies unless you provide a valid EU VAT number.

Do you sell to private buyers?+

Yes, for containers, fit-outs and accessories. Financing is reserved for registered companies.

Which documents come with the delivery?+

Invoice, CSC plate data and serial number for containers; hour reading, condition report and EU conformity documents for machines. Reefers include the PTI test result. Everything is sent as PDF on the day of delivery.

After the sale

Can I see the unit before buying?+

Yes. Depot visits by appointment, or ask for a full video of the exact serial number — we film it the same day.

What warranty do I get?+

Containers are sold wind- and watertight as described, with 12 months against structural defects on new units. Machines carry 3 months on the drivetrain. Refurbished reefers include 6 months on the cooling unit.

Do you buy the equipment back later?+

Usually yes, and we can fix the buy-back price at the time of purchase so you know your exit value from the start. We collect from your site too.

Do you supply spare parts?+

Door seals, locking bars, hinges, floor panels, reefer components and machine filters — in stock or within a few days. Send us the serial number and a photo.

2 · What we collect

Only what you send us. This site has no user accounts, no tracking pixels and no advertising cookies. When you use a contact button, your own mail app sends us the name, company, email, phone, country and message you typed.

3 · Why we process it

To answer your enquiry, prepare an offer, arrange delivery and meet our accounting obligations. The legal bases are GDPR art. 6(1)(b) for pre-contractual and contractual steps, and art. 6(1)(c) for statutory retention.

4 · Who else sees it

Only the parties needed for your order: the haulier who delivers, our depot partner, our accountant and our mail host. We never sell data and do not transfer it outside the EU / EEA without a valid transfer mechanism.

5 · How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an order are deleted after 12 months. Order documents are kept for ten years, as German commercial and tax law requires.

6 · Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to {{ email }} and we will answer within one month. You may also complain to the Hamburg data protection authority.

7 · Hosting and logs

Our host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and diagnostics. Those logs are deleted or anonymised after 30 days.

1 · Scope

These terms apply to all sales, rentals and services of Box Office GmbH. Differing terms from the buyer apply only if we have accepted them in writing.

2 · Offers and prices

Prices shown on this site are indicative, net, ex the stated depot, excluding VAT and transport. A firm price exists only in a written offer, valid 14 days and tied to a specific reference.

3 · Payment

A 30% deposit is due on order confirmation and reserves the item. The balance is due before or on delivery, unless a financing agreement states otherwise. Title passes on full payment.

4 · Delivery

Delivery windows are estimates given in good faith. The buyer must ensure safe, firm and lawful access for the agreed vehicle. Waiting time or a failed delivery caused by site conditions is charged at cost.

5 · Condition and warranty

Used goods are sold in the condition documented by the inspection report and the photos supplied before purchase. Statutory warranty rules for used goods apply; new containers carry 12 months against structural defects, machines 3 months on the drivetrain.

6 · Use and permits

Obtaining planning, building or operating permits is the buyer's responsibility. On request we supply drawings, weights and technical data to support the application.

7 · Governing law

German law applies, excluding the CISG so far as permitted. The place of jurisdiction between merchants is Hamburg.
